Join the Movement – Be a Part of MATA Tampa!
Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,
It is with immense pride and deep responsibility that I step forward as the Chapter Lead of Mana American Telugu Association (MATA) Tampa Chapter, a movement built on the pillars of Seva (Service), Samskruthi (Culture), and Samanathvam (Equality). Our mission is simple yet powerful—to unite and uplift every Telugu individual across Tampa Bay Area, creating a platform where we celebrate our rich heritage, support one another, and build a thriving future for generations to come.
MATA Tampa is not just an organization—it is a movement of the people, by the people, and for the people. We are here to serve, to preserve, and to bring together every Telugu household under one united banner. MATA prioritizes direct community impact, regional engagement, and meaningful connections that truly enhance our people's lives.
Our Tampa chapter is committed to fostering cultural preservation, educational advancement, and community service. We organize cultural events, provide educational scholarships, support local businesses, and create networking opportunities for our Telugu community in the greater Tampa Bay area.
Our Tampa chapter is renowned for hosting five spectacular annual events that have become landmarks in the community calendar. From our record-breaking Ganesh Chaturthi celebration - the biggest and grandest in all of Tampa - to ourgroundbreaking Iftar Party that made history as the first ever hosted by a Telugu organization in the United States, we continue to set new standards for cultural celebration and interfaith harmony. Our Christmas celebrations, Indian Republic Day, and Independence Day events further demonstrate our commitment to both preserving our heritage and honoring our adopted homeland.
I invite each of you to join us in this noble mission. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected Telugu community in Tampa that honors our traditions while embracing the opportunities of tomorrow.
With warm regards and best wishes,
Tony Jannu
